About National Brew Fest

 BOCK 'N' ROLL

Now in its third year in downtown Mankato, Minnesota, National Brew Fest is a celebration of two passions: Classic rock and classy brews.

This year’s event takes place June 20 and 21, which is the weekend after Father’s Day in case you’re looking for the coolest gift of all time: A two-day summer outdoor music festival where each day starts with three hours of craft brew sampling.

National Brew Fest runs both days from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. outside between the Mankato Place mall and the Alltel Civic Center.

Each day of Brew Fest kicks off with a three-hour sampling session of nearly 100 beers from about 30 brewers around the country. Adventurous brew fans can mill about and sample the exotic flavors while enjoying fantastic live music that kicks in right when the gates open.

The music at Brew Fest tends to remain the talk of the town long after the event has passed. In addition to regional greats such as the legendary Lamont Cranston Band and the hotter-than-Hades Butanes, national headliners have turned these summer shows into some of the most remarkable evenings in the area's entertainment history. In 2006, the Little River Band christened National Brew Fest on a perfect, upbeat note and in 2007 the Guess Who had about 3,500 people on their feet.

It doesn't happen every day in downtown Mankato, but downtown Mankato is the only place it happens at all -- one weekend a year. And here comes another one. Our thanks to the city, our volunteers, our sponsors and all who have helped this event grow and become a respected and responsible regional blast.

This year's lineup features two national acts: The Marshall Tucker Band and Canned Heat. Tickets are available here..
